We are committed to the academic achievement of our students. Our curriculum addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of the whole child. Our students graduate well-prepared for success in high school and beyond.

Courses of Study

All East Brook students in grades five through eight (5–8) will study the following subjects:

  • Language arts literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social studies
  • Physical education and health
  • Enrichment
  • World language (Spanish in grades 5–7 and choice of Spanish, German, or Italian in grade 8).

Exploratory Areas

In addition to the above courses, we require our students to study a cycle of the following “exploratory areas” for one marking period in grades 5–8:

  • Art
  • Music
  • Computer art
  • Computer literacy
  • STEM

Working together, we can ensure that every East Brook student succeeds. We'll schedule parent conferences in the fall, and you are welcome to contact your child's teacher anytime you have a concern.

We make every effort to report the individual progress of each student fairly and accurately. We issue report cards four times a year in November, February, April, and June. We also send progress reports home to parents mid marking period.
